Purchase Requirements

When you buy a firearm from Verso Armament Company, you will need to bring your valid driver's license. It must contain your name, residence address, date of birth, and photograph.

If you are a resident outside of Virginia or are a foreign national, please contact us for further assistance.

You will also have to consent to a background check. This check will consist of an electronic inquiry to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System as well as other Virginia State Police databases.

In addition to the background check, you will need to fill out two forms: an ATF Form 4473 and a Department of State Police SP-65 (if you are purchasing / transferring a non-NFA / Class III firearm).

All forms will need to be filled out completely and honestly.  They will need to be filled out in-person at Verso Armament Company; however, examples of the 4473 form can be found here: 4473

The SP-65 form is similar.

Note: If you fail your background check, we will attempt to provide you with information on how to contact the agency responsible.  If the agency's decision is final, we will attempt to refund your purchase 100% minus shipping fees if we are able to send it back to our distributor.  If we are unable to refund your purchase with our distributor, we will refund you your purchase price minus a 25% restocking fee.  Please be knowledgeable about your background before you commit to a purchase.  If the agency is in error and can correct your background check, you can contact us to perform the background check again.
